Ambassador of the Month: Babatunde Oladele 

Babatunde Kasim Oladele is a Research Fellow at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His work focuses on Educational Evaluation and Mathematics, and he is thus involved in both research and teaching.  He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Education, University of Ibadan.   

Could you tell us a little about your research? 

My research interest areas are Educational management, evaluation and psychometrics. I am also an expert in research instrument development and data analysis. 

 

How did you get interested in this field? 

The interest came as a result of my field of study in my first degree, which is educational management and mathematics. So since then, I have shown interest in anything that has to do with figure analysis. 

What are you currently working on now? 

Computer adaptive testing and the exploration of test models. As well as a model for mobilising funds for the effective funding of the education sector in my country, Nigeria.  

Why did you decide to become a Researcher.Life Ambassador? 

I chose to be a member of the Researcher.Life Ambassador Program because there is the need to be exposed to the trending issues in research and as well to have a network with leading researchers in the world. 

What is the best part about working in research? 

Research methodology and data analysis with discussion of the findings of the research work. 

And the most challenging part about working in research? 

A literature review is the brain behind a research work. It requires a great level of expertise. 

What is the one thing you want people to know about Researcher.Life? 

People you join the Researcher.Life because of the inherent gain and connection. They will learn and be current with the trending issues in research 

How has Researcher.Life Ambassador Program helped you in empowering the research community?  

I have been allowed to do a presentation on a concept in research which was titled ‘Essential components of research methodology’ I appreciate the gesture.
