R Discovery Expands Content Library With Strategic JAMA Partnership

R Discovery expands content library with strategic JAMA partnership

R Discovery, a Researcher.Life solution by Cactus Communications, announced its partnership with the JAMA Network, which will make the content published in the 13 peer-reviewed journals in its profile available to the global research community. This strategic partnership ensures that more than 2 million users on R Discovery can read abstracts for papers published by the American Medical Association and head to relevant JAMA Network websites to access the full text of these research papers.

The collaboration with JAMA Network further expands the bank of reliable research papers available through the R Discovery app, one of the largest repositories of academic content on the go.

Commenting on the partnership, Abhishek Goel, CEO & Co-founder, CACTUS, said, “With R Discovery, we help researchers globally to find the right content and save them precious time that they can spend on research. Our collaboration with the JAMA Network is a step towards creating an integrated ecosystem and helping the users of the app get more relevant and authentic content directly from source.”

R Discovery consists of over 100 million research papers and more than 32,000 journals in its rich and ever-expanding research library. With the R Discovery app, academics get personalized reading recommendations from over 9.5 million research topics across all major subject areas, including medicine, biology, philosophy, political science, environmental science, social sciences, and psychology. In addition to pay-walled journal articles, which can be accessed via one’s university credentials, R Discovery hosts more than 40 million open-access articles including 2 million preprints, making it the largest such open-access research repository in the world.

As per Vida Damijonaitis, Director of Worldwide Sales, JAMA Network, “Our partnership with R Discovery will make it easier for researchers to find the research, opinion, and clinical content in our journals. Providing seamless access to our content is a priority at the JAMA Network, and we look forward to expanding our reach through this agreement with CACTUS.”

The JAMA Network comprises a collection of peer-reviewed general medical and specialized publications. The Journal of the American Medical Association, the flagship journal of the JAMA Network, has been in publication since 1883 and is widely recognized as one of the most reputable peer-reviewed medical journals in the world.
