Looking for Changemakers to be Part of Our Core Advisory Board

Do you feel that academia is not designed to let researchers thrive and succeed? Would you like to be part of a global effort toward optimizing and improving academic systems FOR researchers? If so, we’d love to have your opinions represented on the Researcher.Life Ecosystem Core Advisory Board.

What is the Researcher.Life ecosystem?
Researcher.Life is an integrated ecosystem of products, services, and support for academic researchers, including:

  • R Pubsure, an AI-powered platform that evaluates the submission readiness of research manuscripts and recommends suitable journals.
  • R Discovery, which brings together the power of AI and the researcher community to help take the ‘search’ out of research.
  • R Upskill, a learning platform with the largest collection of curated courses and handbooks for researchers.
  • R Voice, a community that allows researchers to connect with other researchers, share their experiences, seek support, advice, and more.

Our mission: To put the researcher at the centre of research
We recognize that researchers struggle to find focused and dedicated time to devote to their research. We know that other activities are constantly competing for attention – writing, formatting, submitting, reviewing, teaching/lecturing, discovery, applying for grants, attracting foreign students, preparing for audits – most of which are time and effort intensive and are completed at the expense of primary research.

Researchers are expected to do it all – and this can be quite overwhelming, especially when this lack of time forces them to compromise on things like sleep, self-care, and a healthy work-life balance. By simplifying and streamlining the systems and processes researchers interact with, we want to give time back to the researcher.

How can you get involved?
We realize that our ambitious goal cannot be achieved in a vacuum. So we’re seeking to collaborate with passionate members of the researcher community who want to fight for change and be part of this rebuilding process. This is no top-down initiative. We want to create a better research world with researchers, not for them.

As a Core Advisory Board Member, we’d like to –

  • Hear about your experiences as a researcher, and some of the research and academic challenges you’ve had to overcome. This will help us identify other opportunities and collectively come up with actionable ideas to optimize some of the systems and processes researchers interact with on a daily basis.
  • Get your views and feedback on the tools that make up the Researcher.Life Ecosystem, so that we can constantly improve upon them and make their best possible version available to the researcher community.

What benefits are associated with membership?
As a thank you for joining our Core Advisory Board, for your time and participation, you will receive:

  • Branded Researcher.Life goodies
  • A 60-minute Masterclass on the topic ‘Creative thinking for research, unlocked,’ hosted and led by neuroscientist, TED speaker, and best-selling author David Eagleman
  • Membership to the Researcher.Life Ecosystem VIP Program with benefits like free subscriptions to R products and services, and priority access to new products and/or new features of existing products
  • Complete logistical support for a webinar on a topic of your choice, featuring you as the speaker (optional)

We’re accepting nominations for our Core Advisory Board. If you think you’d be a good fit and would like to apply to join or if you have any questions, get in touch with our team:
