Earlier this month, R Discovery, a Researcher.Life solution by Cactus Communications, added three leading journals from the NEJM Group to its roster of titles, including the world-renowned New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). This strategic partnership allows R Discovery’s more than 2 million users to see and access NEJM abstracts, dating back 10 years, directly in their research reading feeds.
The titles that will be integrated into R Discovery’s growing repository of research content are:
- NEJM, the oldest continuously published general medical journal in the world providing cutting-edge research at the intersection of biomedical science and clinical practice.
- NEJM Evidence, a new online monthly journal showcasing innovative original research in clinical decision-making and trial design.
- NEJM Catalyst Innovations in Care Delivery, a peer-reviewed journal that publishes sound, actionable research to transform healthcare delivery and improve patient health.
“Science, technology, and the world are rapidly changing. To keep evolving and coming up with apt solutions, the synthesis of timely, succinct, and pertinent information has become crucial in the research world,” said Abhishek Goel, CEO & Co-founder, CACTUS. “At CACTUS, our aim is to help the scientific community with every possible resource, and with R Discovery’s capabilities, NEJM will be able to bring the most relevant and recent abstracts to audiences across the globe.”
R Discovery brings together over 100 million research papers and more than 32,000 journals in its continually expanding research library. Academics can search from over 9.5 million research topics across all major subject areas, including biology, medicine, philosophy, political science, environmental science, social sciences and psychology. Apart from pay-walled articles, which can be accessed via one’s university credentials, R Discovery hosts more than 39 million open-access articles and 2 million preprints, making it the largest open-access research repositories on the go.
Continuously published for more than 200 years, NEJM is widely recognized as the world’s most trusted medical journal. With the highest publication standards and policies, it delivers leading edge peer-reviewed research and interactive clinical content in understandable, useful formats that shape healthcare practices and improve patient outcomes. Reiterating this goal, NEJM Group Vice President David Sampson said, “NEJM Group is committed to serving the global healthcare community, and our relationship with R Discovery provides even greater access to our world-class titles, including our newest, NEJM Evidence. Advancing research discovery by publishing abstracts through R Discovery provides greater impact for usage and citations.”
