Come September and academia gets abuzz with those three wonderful words: Peer Review Week! Peer Review Week is one of the largest academic events that brings together researchers, peer reviewers, journal editors, science communicators, and other industry experts around the world for important conversations around peer review.

Peer Review Week in its 7th edition is approaching (September 19–23, 2022). This collaborative and interactive event is a great opportunity for researchers to deepen their understanding of peer review, participate in stimulating conversations, and connect with stakeholders in scholarly publishing. Every year since 2016, Peer Review Week puts the spotlight on a specific theme and this year’s theme Research Integrity: Creating and supporting trust in research was chosen from among five options in an open poll. The global popularity of the topic highlights the need for it to be addressed in depth.

While our parent organization, CACTUS, has been part of Peer Review Week since its first edition, this year is set to be even more exciting because CACTUS is co-chairing the event. Moreover, the Researcher.Life team has been actively involved with Peer Review Week 2022 right from the inception, along with Editage. The event has been designed keeping Researcher.Life members in mind.
